Dan has extensive experience of internet startups. He has been involved in 6 start ups, most notably Active Hotels (1999 - 2005).

Active Hotels, on-line hotel reservations, was founded in 1999 by Andrew Phillipps and Adrian Critchlow. Dan joined in 1999 as part of the team of 5 who got the business off the ground. The team successfully grew the business to a market leading position, producing over £100 million in sales in 2004.

The business was bought in 2004 by Priceline and continues to grow. The business has gone on to produce over 5.9 million bookings since 1999.

Dan worked for Villas to go, an on-line villa rental start up, for a period of two years on a consultancy basis.

Dan assisted them with their on-line sales and marketing strategy.

 
           

  Reevoo     Acting Sales Director

Dan worked as the Acting Sales Director for a period of eight months in order to assist the business during it's start up phase. As part of his brief, he assisted Reevoo in finding a full time Sales Director during this period. Dan reported to the CEO and attended the monthly board meetings.

The business has continued to grow and has secured additional funding.

Dan worked for Vickers Aerospace Components managing the BMW/RR and RR(IMGT) production cells.

Dan has a BEng(Hons) in Mechanical Engineering, and prior to working in the internet startup sector he held several positions in the manufacturing sector including companies such as Catnic and AmbiRad.
